We went to Newport Beach early on Friday morning to beat the holiday crowds. The weather was cool and the water was FREEZING!! It was so cold that Mark would only ride his boogie board three times before abandoning the waves for the warmth of the hot sand.
Blake and Jocelyn added to their sea shell collection and enjoyed building a sand castle.
Brent is just like Mark - loves to splash in the waves and seems oblivious to the cold (this is the child that had to play on his Slip 'N' Slide even when it was 60 degrees outside!)

Mark and Brent enjoyed running in the waves along the shoreline. Notice how the beach was not crowded at all. It was perfect!! When the sun burned off the clouds, it was a spectacular California day!
